Social House, an innovative platform for collecting, storing and creating user-generated content (UGC) created by fans, is proud to announce its launch in 2024 at one of the world’s biggest festivals: Defqon.1.

Social House: A new way to capture life’s greatest moments

“Several tests show that visitors are eager to share their footage if they have the chance to see themselves reflected in an aftermovie or have a chance to win nice prizes,”

says David Slager, founder of Social House. Social House offers a fast and secure upload platform that can be fully personalized with logos and sponsor mentions. This makes it ideal for festivals, events and brands looking to leverage User Generated Content. This innovative platform allows users to easily upload their images and videos through a newly developed app and web application.

Collecting valuable user-generated content is in itself nothing new for crowded events. What makes Social House unique, however, is that the platform adds value from the initial collection to the final result. A key part of this is the Smart Asset Manager (SAM), a smart content management platform that Social House developed together with Dutch company MediaLab. Hans de Heus, CEO of MediaLab, continues:

“By integrating AWS Rekognition into our existing platform, we can now add a fully automated analysis layer to incoming content. The partnership with Social House offers us many new opportunities and we look forward to the future.”

What makes the Smart Asset Manager unique?

All images and videos are analyzed immediately after uploading using the AI and labeled with predetermined labels, such as times, locations, emotions and logos. This allows content curators to start working with the supplied content immediately, without getting slowed down in search work for hours or even days. For Q-Dance, the organizer of Defqon.1, prior to the festival, all 13 stages were mapped by GPS location, so all images taken that fell within those coordinates could be placed in the relevant map and found with one click.

“After several smaller festivals and events, Defqon.1 was the first test of this magnitude. The Social House platform analyzed each of the more than 10,000 images received pixel by pixel and frame by frame, then placed them in the correct folder with the appropriate labels. With this success in mind, we continue to build an even better platform and are ready to help even more organizations from different industries collect, store and process this valuable content,” said David Slager.
